The best definition of Normal Eating is from the amazing Ellyn Satter MS, RDN, LCSW, BCD. Ellyn is a fellow RD as well as a family therapist, and is the author of the books:
Secrets of Feeding a Healthy Family: How to Eat, How to Raise Good Eaters, How to Cook
Your Child’s Weight: Helping Without Harming
and Feeding with Love and Good Sense
I highly recommend these books to anyone who had their normal hunger and fullness signals disrupted during childhood or even adulthood, anyone who is planning on having children, and those who want to raise healthy, normal eaters.
So, what do you think? Are you a normal eater? Do you know a normal eater?
